What is Affirmation and Treatment?

Often you hear me say that our Center is based on and teaches how to use  spiritual tools. Those tools help us to awaken to our spiritual magnificence and to stay awake. Those tools help us create a world that works for everyone.

The first tool is Affirmation, although it is not the most powerful tool.

Affirmation helps us change our consciousness by reminding us of what we want to be. Affirmations are usually short and powerful. For instance, if I want to increase my generosity I might affirm: "God's limitless resources are mine now to share and to enjoy. God loves a happy giver. Naturally, I am known for my generosity of Spirit."

Think of your subconscious mind as a huge pail filled with some dirty water. The affirmations are a drop of clean water. As your continue to affirm these words, eventually, there will be more clean water than dirty water Because we will say those affirmations often, our conscious mind is focused on the good.

All affirmations are written and stated in the presence tense. You want to be a prosperous person now not in the future. They are written in the first person. They are written in language that is comfortable for you. It is an easy tool to learn and to use.

Spiritual Mind Treatment or affirmative prayer is a tool to change consciousness. Done correctly, from a consciousness of oneness, it is a powerful way to transform your life. It is best to learn to do treatment for yourself so that you can use it immediately  when you experience unhappiness, anxiety, or fear of any kind. The best place to learn how to do spiritual mind treatment is by taking an accredited class.

I will be teaching a beginning accredited class in September. It is a great class for beginners and is also great for any long-time students as a review. If you want to learn how to use these tools, enroll in class.

The Power of Prayer by Ken Robuck

I am so blessed!  I was  exposed/introduced to Science of Mind 22 years ago. I knew it was a fit for me.  I took classes with Dr. Jacque and was definitely drawn to the principles and concept.   In fact for most of these 20+ years I have carried a personal treatment in my day-timer.

I've given affirmative prayers as an opening to Choir and other similar groups.   I understood the concept; I know it to be true.  But there was a missing link.

Then back in November of 2014, a life experience began.  As a part of my annual physical lab work indicated my PSA was definitely high the prostrate biopsy confirmed, there was a cancer issue.   I affirmed to myself this issue would be resolved with a positive outcome.  But there was still a missing element a feeling of incompleteness.

I contacted Rev. Judee Chapman and explained this situation and asked for her practitioner assistance.  We had two meeting just talking and sharing our backgrounds.  Surgery as a solution was obvious natural medical conditions attached. Judy explained how in her personal medical challenges how treatment provided the extra positive belief and support.

Then the day before, (I think) Judee and I meet after a short talk, she held my hands and treated confirming that the surgery has the positive results, that all is well and good.  Acknowledging the professional quality of the hospital staff and all the friends that have and are providing encouragement and support this treatment completely encompassed the beginning and complete of the process.

It wasn't until that moment maybe half way through her treatment the feeling that an “ah-ha” cloaking warmth along with her words all came together.  It had meaning, direction and value that I cannot even begin to communicate.   To use an old cliche “the light came on”.

Judee was amazing; she came to the hospital sat with Barbara while I was in surgery, although I was out-of-it, offered another treatment.  I don’t remember it but now I am sure ”gratitude” was a focal element.

Treatment now has a new deeper and special significant purpose.  Judee Chapman, you will always be a part of a gratitude statement in my daily treatment of thanks. For those who hear the words, repeat the words, know that one day, in one particular moment, the deep, deep, truth of a treatment's power will be felt, understood and give each moment thereafter new value.

To Judee Chapman and all those unnamed practioners, Thank you! Thank You!.

Sincerely, with humility and loving heart,

Ken Robuck

Better than Magic

"There is no hocus-pocus in a mental treatment. It is always definite, conscious, concrete and explicit."    Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind
If you are like me, you appreciate a good magic show. A few months ago, some friends and I went to the Magic Castle. It was indeed a magical night of seemingly impossible tricks... a dollar bill appearing where it could not have been, a magician, knowing exactly which card you picked, etc. We were all filled with wonder.  Yet all of us knew that these were tricks.  It seemed to be magical, but really was sleight of hand.

When we first study and apply the Science of Mind, our results might feel miraculous! However, it is really the orderly working of the immaculate law of Mind. If we are not careful, we could miss the connection.

When we pray (treat) from an awareness of the good we seek as  already being present, our good immediately becomes manifest in our world. One recent example in  my life is I was praying for financial increase fro myself personally. The very next week I received a beautiful gift of a tithe from a Center in Southern California. It came out of the blue. There wasn't even a letter with it, but I could guess what the tithe represented to them. But my truth is that it was the result of definite, conscious, concrete and explicit prayer! I knew what I wanted and I received it.

James Allen wrote, We think in secret and it comes to pass.
Environment is but a looking glass."

One of the ways we can increase our receptivity to our good is to acknowledge what brought it to us. I acknowledged my prayer partner and the gift giver. I am deeply grateful for all the gifts that the Divine Presence has given me. I am grateful that It is always guiding me. I am grateful that it is not capricious but is dependable and steadfast. It is better than magic.

We call the results of prayer our demonstration. It is a demonstration of the Principle of Mind. It is normal and natural just like plugging a lamp into an electrical socket. But it always feels amazing to me! It feels amazing that the one power is at my fingertips at all times. It is amazes me and it humbles me. But why wouldn't it? We are made in the image and likeness of the Divine Presence and Its Immaculate Law. There is no hocus-pocus about it.
