GRATEFUL I AM!

My first Sunday back after my sabbatical was December 3,2017. My last day here was August 31st, summer was ablaze! Now the night's are cold and very long. Winter is definitely approaching.

I was so grateful to be back home. I was welcomed with loving arms and I am very grateful. The Sunday flowers were given in my honor. I took them home last night after Wednesday's Wisdom.

There was also a tasty and beautiful chocolate cake which proclaimed "Welcome Home!"
There were three candles to signify the three months I had been away. After two attempts I finally blew out the three candles! (I guess I was internalizing the enormity of what had transpired in those three months.)

It is really great to feel valued.

But the greatest feeling in my heart is gratitude.
Rev. Pattie and me
I am so grateful for  Rev. Pattie Mercado and Rev. Judee Chapman, our two Assistant Ministers, and the consciousness they brought to our Center especially in my absence.  Not only did they each speak once  a month, but also they did all the other work, plus they both continued to do an excellent job in their own ministries. Plus they have their homes and families to look after. Rev. Pattie's full-time job is Youth and Family Ministry, which grew in my absence. Rev. Judee is the CFO of Mark Optics. Both already have very busy lives! It is an amazing gift of love that they both gave. Some of their responsibilities included: They attended the Board of Trustees Meetings, they ensured that all the administrative work was taken care of, they met with the practitioners for their license reviews, and they did so much more. Rev. Pattie left me a detailed report of many of the activities that they supervised. It is in two-inch-thick file folder.  They hosted the guest speakers. They planned, organized and participated in our annual pledge appreciation dinner. They communicated to the staff and other ministers. They are angels and I am greatly blessed. They kept the Center working so well that many people were surprised that I had already been away three months.

I am grateful for Rev. Karyn Allen and the excellence she provides as the Creative Arts Ministry. She selects the congregational music, plus AllenDale is the usually the guest musician on the first Sunday of the month. Her contribution is immeasurable. For the guest musicians that Rev. Karyn has arranged and for special concerts, I am grateful.

I am also very grateful for our Administrator, Diane Hennessy. She has been doing two jobs for several months -- upstairs receptionist and business manager, Mondays through Wednesdays, then Thursdays she has been finishing her church-related projects. She has been such a gift to us all, with a consciousness of love and service. Diane's newest project is to create a Directory of Membership that is up-to-date. We have been eagerly awaiting this idea!

I am grateful Claudia Nelson, our Suites business manager and receptionist for Thursdays and Fridays. She does everything with grace.

I am grateful to Juli Isola for her brilliant work in marketing our Center. Juli's addition of  the Good News e-newsletter has been a big hit and  a grate help in communicating what was going on in our Center. She has been working closely with Rev. Pattie to plan a strategy for marketing our Center for the past three months but also has developed a plan for 2018.

Then there are all our practitioners, and the rest of the staff ministers, and the many ways in which they contribute.

I am so grateful for all the people who have continued to attend our Center in my absence; each one has blessed us all in a myriad of ways.

Gratitude is a multiplier of good. "My cup is over-flowing so I am drinking from my saucer."

Don't Bring Me Down, Sunday Service

The Power of the Mind is my power. When I fully understand this, and practice this power in all of my affairs, the quintessential question becomes, "What experience do I want to have? What experience am I creating today?" I have the power to make it happen! And so it is.

Moving Deeply Into The State Of Now, Sunday Service

I accept who and where I am. The I AM exists totally in the NOW. I consciously and purposefully move my attention, place my being, and focus my awareness firmly in the space that is at this moment, and every moment, deeply in the State of Now! And so it is!

Replacing Old Patterns Sunday Service

Infinite Love is silent power behind all things, all life. This power is mine to use. Knowing the supply is endless, and my pattern is Love, I let go of the past and begin to create a success pattern now. I fill my conscience with truth, knowing it must be expressed in my life. And so it is.

The One Creative Intelligence

Science of Mind teaching diagram
It’s a Philosophy, a Teaching, and a Science
Many of us have questions about how we can live a full and wonderful life.  One of those ways is to affirm out Truth!   Each week at our Sunday service we repeat:

Declaration of Principles
I believe in God, the one Creative Intelligence operating through the Universe and operating throughout my entire being now and always.  I believe this perfect Creative Intelligence can be used by me and by every other person, to produce health, abundance and love, in mind,  body and total life experience.  I use it now, and I rejoice in it.  And so it is!

This Wednesday at the mid week service we will discuss how to use this ‘creative Intelligence’ in the creative process and how it operates.
The creative process starts with the Ideal, the Divine thought, so to speak.  It moves through us as intuition which becomes our idea.  This idea of something we chose to create, has a journey through imagination, inspiration, action, and creates our experience in the physical world.  After the demonstration of our intention or idea, we travel to reaction, feeling, cognition, knowledge, recognition, and finally WISDOM, which is truly the ultimate goal.
So what exactly is Science of Mind?

It’s a Philosophy, a Teaching, and a Science

  • A philosophy, in that it explains the way the universe works and our place in it
  • A teaching as it shows us how to regain our personal power
  • A science because we are taught how to use the universal principles to demonstrate success in our daily lives.  This is called the creative process!

Science of Mind is based on principles (the creative process) that support our spiritual growth.

“There is a Power for good in the universe, greater than you are – and you can use it!”
— Ernest Holmes

Everyone has ideas. But what where do they come from? And what ensures they keep coming? How do you sort the genius ideas from the useless ones? Why invest all this hope and energy into making things in the first place?  Creative thinkers across a variety of disciplines find common methods, habits, mindsets and neuroses that help bring breakthrough ideas into being. This is a thoughtful and intimate look at the creative process.

Blessings,
Judee A. Chapman,

Who is God?

"I Believe in God" by Rev. Judee Chapman
Every Sunday morning, we read the Declaration of Principles together as a congregation and ......... every time I repeat those words, my faith is restored. To me, the first statement of Truth, "I believe in God", is the most powerful and makes me think...... 'hmmmmm' Who is God? This Wednesday we will explore what 'God' is and why we believe it is 'The Thing Itself'.

The next declaration is " the One Creative Intelligence"... etc. It appears to me that this Intelligence is within us and that we can create what we put our attention on in our life. We will discuss the 'creative process' and how we create our experiences through these dynamic spiritual laws.

Visioning: What is Waiting to Express?

A quote from Dr. Michael Beckwith ~
"As far as a very basic description, you first center yourself through meditation or contemplative prayer in which you commune with the Ineffable, activating a field of unconditional love. Once your consciousness is open and receptive, you place questions before your higher Self: What is the highest vision for my life? What must I become in order to manifest this vision?  What qualities must I cultivate?  What qualities must I release?  What talents, gifts, skills and qualities do I already possess that will serve this vision?  Then follows a deep listening with an open heart, pushing away nothing that arises or judging it. This practice can be effectively applied in all aspects of one’s life. "Life Visioning Technology - Michael Beckwith

After reading Dr. Beckwith's definition of visioning and watching his two minute video,  I think you will agree with me that this is a very powerful spiritual practice.

On Wednesday, February 19, at 7 p.m.  September Warren,  who was trained in the visioning process by Dr. Michael Beckwith, we be leading us in a visioning for our Wednesday's Wisdom service at the Center.  I invite everyone to attend this creative and inspirational evening.

There are so many wonderful spiritual practices that we already are familiar with and participate in on a daily basis (i.e.  prayer, meditation, silence, chanting, listening, and many more!)  So! I am very excited to experience this relatively new avenue to a higher consciousness.

Dr. Beckwith also says, "The cool part of it all is that none of us never know how far what’s birthed by the inspiration of the heart can reach out and impact the world in a positive, uplifting way, which is why I encourage people to go beyond self-consciousness and have the courage to deliver their gifts, talents, and skills in the world."

So let's create something wonderful and new together!

Sweet Blessings,

Reverend Judee Chapman
