News Flash: You Create and Control Everything In Your Life!

"In remembering who He is, and who I am, I remenber the power within me.  This is not a power to merely fix things. It is the power to transform the world."  -Marianne Williamson

Let's expound a bit on There Is More To Us Than We Realize, Sunday Service...as Reverend Pattie Mercado invited us to fully open our mind, heart, and Soul...allowing Divine Source to express through us.
I open my mind, my heart and my soul to allow the Divine to express through me, doing what is mine to do. And So It Is!

Lack of control is an illusion. If you are the creator, all things are under your control. Some people say that control is an illusion but the opposite is the real Truth.

How can you not be in control when all things are under your control? Realize the aspect of yourself that is Divine, your Higher Self.  It is that Higher Self that  is in control of all things.  Yes… You are the Higher Self. You create all of your Reality. There is no aspect of your Reality which you do not create. Therefore, you control all.

You are not a victim. All Power is within and is absolutely under your control. To say that things happen through another cause other than yourself…your Higher Self… is to say that you are a victim.

Nothing happens outside of you. Everything is happening within you. You are Consciousness… and Consciousness encompasses All That Is. Whenever you feel not being in control, you are experiencing an illusion. You created the illusion of not being in control, of not being Divine…of not being Power from within. You are the director of the script and can control at will.  Yes, whether we go to the fear and doubt place…(and we all do it from time to time)…or our place of the Divine…our place of Power…we are totally in control!

Remember, Intention controls results. Everything is created by your intention. Even when what you desire comes at a time or in a way that seems beyond your control, it is still your intent that brought it into manifesting.
Nothing happens to you outside of you. When you realize this Truth, you know that you are the creator of everything that happens in your Life. The idea that something else makes things happen is not Truth.

When undesirable things happen, you are simply being moved mentally or physically, or Spiritually towards somewhere else that is closer to what you want.   That’s Good News!  It is you moving yourself. Those undesirable things are not created by something external of you to affect you. They are part of your Intent. Your Intent arranges and rearranges the Universe to move you to closer to where you want to be. The rearrangement of the Universe may seem to be something that is happening on its own… but it is you who control it with Intention.  Really!

Think of Intention as your Will…the Freedom to have all that you desire and require!

And the Will has still another important function. It acts as a Protector. The Will repels the influence or vibrations of another mind, and renders its possessor immune to undesirable thought-waves. It creates a protective aura around the individual, which will turn aside the thought-waves or vibrations which may reach you, whether such be sent directly to you… or whether they are the vibrations emanating from minds of others and unconsciously sent forth.  A strong Soul/Spirit retains strong individuality and thinking.

Feeling is living thought. Everything that is worthwhile was produced by this feeling thought. Feeling—Desire— Emotion—Passion—Wanting— Willing—Demanding—these are the things that have Creative Power. So do not deceive yourself with this ''holding the thought," or any such nonsense of which you have heard so much until you get sick at the mention of the words. It is not simply "holding the thought," it is "holding the desire," and backing it up with the Will that does the work. Desire-Will is Intent.

To live as a Powerful Creator,  I invite you to banish the illusion once and for all that you are not in control. Trust and Believe… you will always arrive back at the core Truth… that you are the Creator of your Reality… and that you control all of it.

When you focus on what you can do to Create what you want, you take back the Power…Your Power!  Your Intent brings you the knowledge, the awareness and the energy to create what you want. Everything that happens can be traced back to Intent.

Working from the “inside-out” remains the most effective way to bring balance, fulfillment, and breakthrough achievement to all areas of your Life…not to mention an added wholeness and harmony to the world around us!

Remember if you don’t do anything – if you don’t change the way
your mind works and direct your subconscious mind to create the
life you want – everything stays the same – nothing changes. This
is your life – make the most of it…NOW!

Today will bring you a new awareness, a lesson or a manifestation that you are making progress – IF YOU KNOW IT!  No matter how large or small, please recognize it and be Grateful. Hey…It only takes a moment to pick up the penny… and will AUTOMATICALLY put you in the Flow of Positive Energy and Goodness.

Do you Want to Love Yourself Really?

Whitney Houston sang: "Learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all."
Currently Justin Bieber is on the radio with a very snarky song about loving yourself, as in it is a very self-centered, selfish thing to do. To give you a flavor of the song, one line is,
"My mama don't like you and she likes everyone!"
Well which one is it? Is it selfish to love yourself or is it necessary to love yourself? Is it the greatest love or is it the puniest? Is it self-absorbed and narcissistic? Or is it expansive and enlightened?

Perhaps the confusion comes from what is self-love? The original meaning was one of excessive attention to self, but now most of the dictionaries define self-love as looking after one's well-being. It is seen as positive and desirable.

Many writers believe that self-love is not a feeling but rather actions that one takes to establish self-worth and well-being.

I believe that self-love is closely related to self-esteem and self-respect. I agree that if you don't love yourself, it will be very hard if not impossible to love someone else. When my self-love is solid, I am a good friend. I can take criticism and negativity with greater ease than if I am feeling emotionally fragile.

The aspect of me that gets in the way is my inner critic. You likely have one of your own. The inner critic always makes me feel small and incapable. The most difficulty I have in maintaining my self-love, and staving off the inner critic, is when someone tells me I am not doing a good enough job and I secretly agree with them!

A recent incident catapulted me into rigorous self-inquiry. What am I making this mean? What can I learn about myself and my habits that would help me live  a more self-confident life?

I hear myself saying things I SHOULD have done! With every SHOULD I give away my self-respect. One of my early teachers taught me to change the "should" to COULD. That certainly brings more clarity while maintaining  a shred of dignity. So instead of, "I should have called my Mom." I could change it to  "I could have called my Mom but something else took precedence."

I believe it is valuable to do things you are good at. It is valuable take some quiet time for observation and reflection. Self-love does not mean over-spending, over-eating or over-indulging. Those are all kinds of self-contempt.

Now the truth about it is that you and I are made in the image of Spirit, whole complete and perfect in every way. One of my favorite and most-powerful affirmations is four simple statements of Truth:
"There is only One Life.  That Life is God's Life. That Life is perfect. That Life is my life now."
I think the world would be a much lovelier place in which to live, if we all practiced one act of self-love every day. I stumbled across the following poem which I think is exactly what I am attempting to say. It is by Suzy Kassem, titled "Apply Within."

You once told me
You wanted to find
Yourself in the world -
And I told you to
First apply within,
To discover the world
within you.
You once told me
You wanted to save
The world from all its wars -
And I told you to
First save yourself
From the world,
And all the wars
You put yourself
Through.

There is More Than Just this Body

Amazing Lola; Small in Stature, Big in Heart

Here at our Center the Animal Kinship Ministry offers a Releasing Ceremony for our loved ones. When you make the decision to allow your pet to move onto its next life, you do not have to do it alone.
I had the privilege of being present for Kelly when she made the decision to allow her beautiful Lola, a long haired Chihuahua,  to move onto the next plane of existence. Lola was having heart issues.  She was 14 years old and had lived a full, privileged, loving life. We held her and we celebrated her life. I  spoke about Lola being a teacher because we learn how to nurture by being nurtured. Lola nurtured Kelly and taught her how to be a mom. Lola taught unconditional love and how to stay in the moment.  Lola taught Kelly the process of slowing down and the fact that everything is on its way to someplace else.
Kelly had a vet come to the house to administer the drugs.  You could feel the love in the room.  The whole process  was inspiring.  I  witnessed Kelly’s experience.  She now knows that there is more than just this body, more than just this life.  It was honoring, beautiful and s-o-o-o loving.
