Shared Prayer
The powerful strength of prayer circles |
Prayer can be private, internal, personal, but it can also be shared, aloud, external. The power of shared prayer can be transformational. When speaking a prayer aloud, the vibration throughout the body is different than from praying silently to oneself. Sometimes when praying in a circle, the prayer gets passed where each person has the ability to speak aloud. It is a collective that is an intimate exchange.
Prayer can be just as powerful in person as being at a distance. Join me in this prayer circle. Today the prayer is focused on the Goodness of each and every person who decides to join in this prayer. Tap into the emotional space of the strength of this prayer.
Knowing right here and now that Spirit is moving through each and every part of the Universe. Everywhere that is seen and unseen, the Love Intelligence of the Universe encompasses All.
I know my Oneness in Spirit. I know each breath I breathe occurs in the Oneness of all Life.
As I know this for myself, I know this for each and every person who has agreed to join in this prayer. I know that in this collective field of Consciousness, All is well. The Greatness of each of our lives show up today and everyday as this human expression. The unfoldment of our lives occur in the most magnificent manner. I know that we can stand on solid ground, knowing that each and everyone of us are strong in Spirit. Everything works together for the Goodness of our lives.
Insert your contribution to the prayer here
I am so very Grateful to know the power of prayer. I am so Grateful for Spirit, for Life, for Peace. I am thankful for all that Life has to offer. I rest in Gratitude.
I release this prayer into the Law of the Universe, knowing that Spirit is right here and now. I Let it all go. And So It Is. Amen.

Firenze's Light:Choosing what crowd to fund
A children's book filled with Light reveals a Spiritual connection. |
Upon reviewing some of the Kickstarter projects, I decided to contribute my first funding to a project by Jessica Collaco. She was embarking on an adventure to bring a children's book to the world. This particular book was to bring an understanding of the importance of shining your light for all to see and not be embarrassed of your light. Jessica has a wonderful blog www.childunplugged.blogspot.com/ where she writes of her experiences growing as a mother in this Spiritual existence. In one blog post she mentions the website Do As One, which was co-created by her husband, Jaime. This a Universal breathing website, where people from all over the world come together to collectively breathe as One. I mention this particular information because the connection with this Kickstarter project first occurred in Spirit. You see, I too, wrote a blogpost about the Do As One website last August, knowing it was connected to Agape International Spiritual Center, where I serve as a Practitioner. Not realizing the connection with Jessica until recent, I again remind myself of no-coincidences.
Making the decision to back this campaign was very personal. I saw a place for good to be spread in the world and I felt compelled to agree with it. I wanted this woman to spread her word, to shine her light. I am happy to be able to support her contribution to our children.
I am drawn to children's book that have a great purpose. When my children were little, I loved picking out the books with great messages. I would head to the bookstore read the books in their entirety and make my decision. The books of choice became really good friends, they were a catalyst to build a connection, a reference for life's lessons, a visual guide to help with choices or childhood fears. My children still remember the inflection in my voice when reading, giving the characters accents or personality. I inserted sound effects whenever deemed necessary. I loved reading these children's book to them just as much as they loved hearing them from me. Of course, now that they have grown to 11 & 14, I can not part with some of the beloved books. I will add Firenze's Light to my addition, holding it near and dear to my heart, knowing that I choose to assist Jessica in shining her Light for all to see.

Your Life is Unique and Essential to the Whole
Unique Thumbprint |
Recently I attended a ministers meeting at Cedarbrook Lodge in the Seattle area. In the hallway was an interesting art piece, a thumbprint created with the words or qualities that the artist valued. These values were: fair, caring, human, dynamic, and driven. As you can see by the photo, he person taking the picture is in the center of the art. What do you value? Who do you think you are?
Most of us are still in shock with the death of the great comedian and creative genius, Robin Williams. We try to understand how someone who made so many millions of people laugh could not feel that joy himself. We grieve and we try to understand what we can do spiritually to move through our shock, grief and bewilderment to the experience of acceptance and understanding.
What I am left with is the need to let people know how much we appreciate and love them while we are alive. I am also contemplating the value of each person's life and how we often mask the pain we are feeling with a brave face or escape it though some substance such as alcohol or drugs.
What would happen if we recognized that the biggest gifts we have to give, come from our uniqueness? It is easy to see that no one will replace Robin Williams, but it is just as true that no one can replace any one of us. No one can replace you! You are the magnificence of life and your being is essential to life's unfolding.
Your life is unique and essential to the whole.

Checking Your Levels of Participation
It's time to level up! |
“Level of Participation” kept ringing through my head … where have I heard that before. Once I got home I started googling and then when that didn’t work I went so far as to search the history on my internet browser. Long story short I found it. It’s a quote by LLewelyn Vaugh Lee.
“The work of connecting our light to the world does not need to be done through a mass movement or by millions of people. The real work is always done by a small number of individuals. What matters is the level of participation. Whether we dare to make a real commitment to the work of the soul.”It’s a privilege to be here on the material plane. Sometimes we take things for granted. Our lives can feel mundane, uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. My new awareness that I am exercising is to imagine a button, a button labeled “mundane” and it’s on a dial and at one end it says profane and at the other end it says sacred.
It’s up to us to dial our everyday experiences to either the profane or to the sacred and with that choice we choose our level of participation.
If there is one quality I really admire and am drawn to in other is their capacity be “ all in.” To be present, to be bold, to be truthful, to be loving and to live. That’s what we are here for, to play all out.

Experiencing the Fullness of Time
My Watch |
Our Journal begins with the statement: "Taking time, killing time, wasting time, never having enough time...How often do you describe your experience of time in one of these ways? In using these words, you perpetuate that feeling, and therefore you are actually creating exactly that experience for yourself."
This is a terrific question to contemplate. If I really knew who I was, and that every thought is a prayer, I would change those thoughts (or complaints) and choose other ideas as well. All of us have the same number of hours in our day. What you bring to those hours is up to you. If you keep telling yourself that you do not have enough time or that you are running out of time, and if that belief s accompanied with great anxiety, you will be absolutely right! However, if you take a deep breath and remember that God is all there is, you can release the anxiety and choose a different experience. When you become fully occupied with what is, your experience of time changes.
When I am mindfully living in the moment, I can enjoy time, savor time, treasure time, and experience time.
As I am writing these words, I realize that there have been many times in my life when I was so filled with joy in the moment that hours flew by. I certainly was experiencing time. I remember many family gatherings when we started to sing and play instruments together, and several hours would mysteriously pass in the blink of an eye. How did it get to be 3 AM so soon? Sometimes deep in a conversation with a friend, I would discover that hours had gone by. Sometimes it is a few moments of joy, while two big black German shepherds give you a kiss, that time stands still.
What makes time stand still for you now?
Plan to experience quality time this week. You are enough and there is always enough time! Experience the fullness of time today!
