Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, not so convenient if you want to celebrate this day of Love. But here’s an idea: devote the weekend to love, starting with "Love Letters" on Friday evening, February 10, 7:30 p.m., at the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley. This Pulitzer Prize-nominated play by A. R. Gurney centers on just two characters, examining the growth and development of friendship and love over a period of nearly 50 years.
Melissa Gardner, played by Kimberly Wooldridge, and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, played by Wade Wooldridge sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards in which they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their lives.
In fact, make an evening of it! There are a number of restaurants in the area – celebrate love with dinner and a play. Take your sweetie, celebrate with friends, enjoy the evening.
Wade and Kimberly Wooldridge have been active in community theater in Orange County for the last ten years, with over forty shows between them. Join them for this special staged reading the weekend before Valentine’s Day.
The play is being offered on a "Love" Offering basis. For more information, call the center at 949-240-6463 Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
