Synchronicities

As I continue to learn the principles of creating my ideal lifestyle in the Science of Mind classes, I continue to practice what I learn....

...Everyday.

I have experienced much less stress and anxiety in a time, where the circumstances around me are a little difficult. For that, I am so grateful, but it goes further than that.

I have been taught to be very aware of synchronicities that occur. Those moments that make one think, "Holy crap! I can't believe that happened! That was just what I needed!"

Those occur more than more when we learn practical steps to change our thinking. That thinking changes to expecting your ideal life to unfold, to expecting your good each day.

The realization that YOU create these amazing synchronicities and when you are more fully aware of your thinking, you will start to know how to create these synchronocities.

That is the place I am now.

I am simply being aware more often...a.k.a. changing my consciousness to fully connect with my Higher Power, more often throughout the day.

Dr. Heather taught us to start with simple things to expect.

For example, instead of trying to imagine winning the lottery, start with making the shift of finding the perfect parking spot every time you go shopping.

As this happens more often, your faith in the Law of Mind will build, so you will BELIEVE when you set your next intention that is more of a stretch.

My simple intention is that every time I drive or am near train tracks, a train passes because it gives my boys SUCH joy. So far, every time I've set the intention, a train has passed. That's why the picture above appears in this post.

Thank you, Universe!!

Valentine's Day Affirmative Prayer

Today I love like I've never been hurt.

I see God's grace in and through all my experiences.

I speak with kindness and I reflect God's glory.

All is well in my world.

And so it is!

Parent Forum

As a business owner, I remember starting my business a little confused.

I wasn't sure what to do and when to do it. I was a little lost, stumbling forward each day while "I figured it out" as I went.

That worked for a little while until I realized I wasn't giving my business the knowledge and attention it deserved.

So I set out to find mentors and surrounded myself with other business owners. I joined Mastermind groups, which as Napolean Hill explained in his book, "Think and Grow Rich," are small groups of like-minded individuals who share ideas, mentoring and advice on a similar topic.

Mastermind groups have resulted in exponential growth for me and my business.

So, is it any wonder that, as parents, we don't treat our roles as parents the same?

We give birth, maybe read a book or two, and then stumble forward "figuring this parenting" thing out as we go.

Last week, I attended Rev. Pattie Mercado's Thursday Parent Forum.

What a FANTASTIC experience it was.  I brought up a couple of challenges I was experiencing and, low and behold, received some great feedback of things that worked for other parents...and things that didn't work so well.

As in a business Mastermind group, it was comforting to know that other people are experiencing the same challenge, but more so, that others have the answer.

If you are a parent, I encourage you to join us at the next parent forum. The first Thursday of each month, Pattie will bring us together to laugh, maybe cry, but most importantly, how to be better parents!

Who doesn't want that?

It's fun, it's informative, it's a great way to know you are sane and not as crazy of a parent that you think you are...o.k. maybe I should speak for myself, but am I the only one that sometimes thinks I'm not cut out or a complete failure at parenting?

Pattie calls it a 'Parent Forum...'

I call it a 'Parent Mastermind!'

Reconnecting to Our Magnificence

Spending time surrounded by nature's grandeur allows us to relax, open our hearts and reconnect with our inner-selves; re-awaking to the magnificence of who we truly are.

A good skier always focuses on the fall-line of the slope and controls his or her speed through edging and turns.  It's similar to being in the alignment with your truth; being in alignment with the natural contour of the slope.   Instead of focusing on a tree trunk or rocks, because your skis tend to move towards where you look, I focus on the rhythm of the terrain while taking in the beautiful scenery and joy of being exactly where I want to be.

Lee Garity Gammell Testimonial

Lee Garity Gammell in her own words, invites you to join us at the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley.

Setting Our Annual Intentions for 2012

Sunday, February 5th was the celebration of Ground Hog day, the holiest day of the year! In all seriousness, it is the half way point between winter solstice and the equinox.

In Sunday's service, we had a beautiful and transformational ceremony declaring our intentions for the year.  Each person verbally gave their intentions to either Dr. Heather Dawn Clark or Reverend Judee Chapman knowing that expressing intentions verbally is much more powerful than keeping them to oneself.

Celebrate Love at the Center

Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, not so convenient if you want to celebrate this day of Love. But here’s an idea: devote the weekend to love, starting with "Love Letters" on Friday evening, February 10, 7:30 p.m., at the Center for Spiritual Living Capistrano Valley. This Pulitzer Prize-nominated play by A. R. Gurney centers on just two characters, examining the growth and development of friendship and love over a period of nearly 50 years.

Melissa Gardner, played by Kimberly Wooldridge, and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, played by Wade Wooldridge sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards in which they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats that have passed between them throughout their lives.
In fact, make an evening of it! There are a number of restaurants in the area – celebrate love with dinner and a play. Take your sweetie, celebrate with friends, enjoy the evening.

Wade and Kimberly Wooldridge have been active in community theater in Orange County for the last ten years, with over forty shows between them. Join them for this special staged reading the weekend before Valentine’s Day.

The play is being offered on a "Love" Offering basis. For more information, call the center at 949-240-6463 Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Trusting Life to Express as Me

Having the power to surrender and allow life to express AS us, rather than happening TO us, is one of the most transformational shifts one will make in their lives.

As this shift occurs, a sense of peace and calm, joy and harmony takes over our lives replacing fear, anxiety and worry.  As this happens, our health improves, we experience more moments where we hear ourselves saying, "I love my life" and we truly become co-creators in how our lives unfold.

Reverend Karen Allen shared five steps to live life with your "cup overflowing," last week, however, these five steps can also define how one allows life to express itself through you.  I personally like having practical steps to achieving a new idea.  I believe if 'allowing life to express itself through you' is a new concept, these steps will allow more clarity to flow for you:

1.  Know who you are - Who are you? What do you stand for?  Know, from the heart, the answer to these questions so you can define and create the ultimate vision for how you want your life to unfold.

2.  Set the intention - Write out your ideal life or the perfect solution to something that may be challenging you right now.  Set aside ego and truly write your perfect solution.  Simply believe, know and feel this solution will be yours.

3.  Practice deliberate focus - With any intention comes action, however, know that you do not need to know the "how."  Simply tap into your internal intuition, your "guide," your "inner GPS," and allow it to speak.  When it does, listen and simply go do what it guides you to do.

4.  Be open - Be open to the possibility that the "how" will unfold in a way that is completely out of your realm of logic.  Small "coincidences" will occur that surprise you.  Be very aware of these coincidences knowing that these coincidences occur in small, sometimes seemingly insignificant occurrences, however, they are the Universe's way of manifesting that intention for you.

5.  Allow it to Happen - as these coincidences occur, receive them openly and with gratitude knowing it's another step towards creating that ideal life or that ideal solution.  Don't push away opportunities because they are not the "how" you were expecting...simply, receive each seemingly insignificant opportunity, be aware, understand it's significance and express gratitude.

Follow these steps faithfully and enjoy the transformation that you experience almost immediately.  Enjoy your ideal life!
